The Precision Turbo Factory Upgrade IS38 is a high-performance turbocharger upgrade designed for the MQB platform, including the Volkswagen MK7 Golf and Audi S3 8V equipped with the 2.0 TSI engine. This turbocharger is engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for the factory IS38 turbo, allowing installation without modifications or adapters while delivering significantly increased power and improved turbo efficiency.
The turbo features Precision Turbo’s next-generation CEA compressor technology, providing faster turbo response, reduced lag, and higher airflow capability. The unit also utilizes a dual ceramic ball bearing center cartridge, improving durability and response under high-boost conditions.
Two performance configurations are available depending on power goals. The Stage 1 version supports up to approximately 575 HP, while the Stage 2 version increases airflow capacity to support up to around 700 HP, making it suitable for high-performance builds and heavily tuned engines.
The turbocharger is built with a high-temperature resistant HK30 stainless turbine housing, ensuring durability during demanding performance use. Installation accessories are included with the kit, and the system also includes a blow-off valve while retaining compatibility with factory mounting points.

The factory turbo outlet pipe is constructed from flimsy plastic and is quite narrow, which results in an extreme airflow restriction. The CTS Turbo high flow turbo outlet pipe kit is constructed from mandrel-bent 60mm aluminum tubing. A custom 5-ply silicon coupler makes installation simple! The CTS Turbo high flow turbo outlet pipe kit also replaces all the factory charge piping between the turbocharger compressor housing and factory intercooler.

Offering an upgrade to over 600PS on pump petrol. Engineered & Enhanced At the core of our TTE700 is a much larger TTE compressor wheel, chosen because it is highly efficient and creates an extremely high flow for comparative size. Re-Profiled compressor cover to optimised tolerance to ensure maximum compressor efficiency is given. We CNC mill the exhaust turbine housing to accept a larger turbine and shaft. Special profile 360 deg high-performance motorsport journal bearing is fitted, to remain durable at higher loads with no loss in transient response. The actuator used is sprung OE unitIf ordering new, we use the latest generation of BorgWarner original turbochargers with the latest spec Audi thermal heat isolation shielding on the exhaust manifold & turbine housing to lower engine bay temperatures and ensure the best performance and safety. Please note if you send an older generation turbo, without the original AUDI thermal shielding for the "upgrade" process, we will rework your turbo and return without the shielding, unless you buy the extra thermal Isolation process. Depending on stock availability we may substitute TTE thermal shielding and give AUDI original thermal shielding instead. We cannot upgrade the ORIGINAL K16 CEPA, CEPB OR CZGB Turbo to this stage, Biggest possible for the K16 is the TTE500+ Upgrade Turbocharger Equilibrium Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document.

| At CTS Turbo we are proud to announce our new intercooler charge pipes for the B9 Audi A4, A5, AllRoad 1.8T/2.0T.
The OEM charge piping uses a rubber hose as turbo outlet connection and plastic cold-side pipes with a flow-impeding “resonator”. Factory piping is not optimized for performance; so we had to step in and make our charge pipe set of 2.5″ aluminum mandrel-bent tube. Our parts replace soft turbo outlet hose and the small resonated plastic throttle body pipe.
All of the components included in the CTS charge pipe set work flawlessly together to provide increased efficiency, horsepower and torque throughout the entire power-band. By removing the restricting resonator on the cold-side piping, you can enjoy a slight increase in turbo sound!
