The CTS MK6 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit is designed as a drop in replacement for the OEM front mounted intercooler (FMIC).  That means you can install this kit without any trimming or modification of the bumper.  The OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, however once boost levels are increased by way of ECU upgrades/chipping the OEM FMIC struggles to keep the charged air temperatures in check.  Higher charged air temperatures can result in boost cut and timing pull, both reducing the amount of power your vehicle produces.

The CTS direct fit FMIC uses a high efficiency bar and plate intercooler core, which aids in reducing pressure drop.  Reducing pressure drop means that your turbo will not have to work as hard to make a given level of boost.  If your turbo makes 30psi of boost pressure in the turbocharger, and your intercooler has a 10psi pressure drop then the boost measured by your ECU would be (30psi – 10psi) = 20psi.  With an efficient FMIC like the CTS direct fit FMIC your turbo does not have to work as hard to reach desired boost levels.  This is beneficial in two ways, the turbo life expectancy is increased due to more efficient operation, and boost leaving the turbocharger is cooler and more dense resulting in more power to the ground.

WHY FIT?

To fit our Oil Management Kit on Golf 7R and Audi S3 models, you will also need this Remote Washer Refill Kit.

  • Golf 7R and some early Audi S3 models have a different windscreen washer bottle fitment to the other MQB cars, with the reservoir located on the right of the vehicle compared to the majority of MQB models which have the washer bottle on the left.
  • For these cars with right-hand reservoirs, this is located where the Catch Can will be mounted. The kit replaces the top half of the factory washer bottle to still allow you to refill your washer fluid easily and neatly.
  • Included is a beautifully high-gloss filler cap which locates conveniently on the front panel using the bracket provided
  • Many owners prefer the appearance of our Remote Washer Refill  and of course this can be fitted without having the RacingLine Oil Management kit installed.

Boost Cooler water injection can achieve a power increase of up to 10-25% in turbo and supercharged engines without thermally overloading the engine. The charge air temperature is lowered by up to 60°C, the combustion chamber is cooled and the thermal load on already tuned vehicles is effectively reduced. Water or water/alcohol (methanol or ethanol) is injected at high pressure into the hot charge air in a finely atomised form as soon as the desired starting charge pressure is reached. The evaporating liquid achieves an extremely effective charge air and intercooling, which, among other things, prevents uncontrolled combustion ("knocking"). The effect is demonstrably comparable with 116 octane racing petrol. The Boost Cooler is unsurpassed in atomisation! The liquid is swirled inside the Hyper-Sonic atomiser nozzle at supersonic speed before being forced through the Venturi orifice. With the included Dual Stage Upgrade, 2 atomiser nozzles are used to inject as early as possible with the primary nozzle and to achieve maximum cooling and performance in peak loads with the switched-on 2nd nozzle.

CTS Turbo is pleased to offer the ultimate high flow throttle pipe kit for the MQB model range vehicles.  The OEM Charge pipping leaves something to be desired with inefficient bends, and blockages not optimized for performance.  The CTS Turbo throttle pipe increases the entire diameter to 2.5″ allowing for increased flow and greater performance.  The integrated water methanol bung (1/8″ NPT) allows for simple and straight forward installation of kits from Snow Performance.  All of the components included in the CTS throttle pipe kit work flawlessly together to provide increased efficiency, horsepower, and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race inspired sound. CTS Turbo is proud to announce our Upgraded Aluminum Radiator for the VW/Audi MQB 1.8TSI and 2.0TSI vehicles. The factory radiator is small and not efficient enough to provide sufficient cooling to tuned engines. We designed our radiator to overcome that problem. CTS Turbo radiator has an increased volume over stock, with a dual-pass core was made to be higher flowing and larger than the factory, but still drop into the stock location using all the factory mounting points. To make things even better, this part will eliminate plastic endtanks that are prone to leaks. Keep your MQB running cool and reliably with CTS Turbo Aluminum Radiator. Features:
