Description
CTS Turbo has been dedicated to manufacturing performance parts for enthusiasts by enthusiasts since its inception. Our continued development of the B8 platform is not limitted to FMIC kits or Turbo kits, our all new catback exhaust system is evidence of that. The CTS Turbo B8 S4 catback exhaust system is hand tig welded using the finest T304 stainless steel.
Each CTS B8 S4 catback is 100% tig welded, constructed using T304 Seamless Stainless Steel, and includes installation hardware and stainless steel clamps. Lesser products can be had without stainless steel construction, or with seamed stainless steel, which can crack and decay over time. The CTS Turbo B8 S4 catback increases throttle response, and peak power.

– Aftermarket cross/underbraces may require spacers for clearance
NOTE: Starting in 2012, Audi started to use a SoundAktor system.
1) A speaker by the base of the windshield. This speaker is activated in Dynamic mode. This speaker produces a fake intake sound.
2) Sounds from the stereo system. These sounds are to produce a sporty exhaust note and are on all the time, regardless of selected MMI mode.
To disable the SoundAktor, you must remove fuse number 5 on block A of the driver-side fuse box. This will disable the system without causing a check engine light or any faults.
This fuse is labeled “Sound actuator/exhaust sound tuning” on the owner’s manual. CONSULT YOUR MANUAL FOR FUSE LOCATION.
When installing our performance exhaust system on cars equipped with SoundAktor, we highly recommend removing this fuse or disabling the SoundAktor via VAGCOM.

| We are proud to release the new CTS Turbo 3.5″ Stainless Steel race downpipe for the MK7 Golf R/8V Audi S3. Unfortunately, the factory downpipe that comes as standard equipment in your car was designed for anything but performance. The factory downpipe severely restricts exhaust flow and therefor has adverse effects on horsepower, especially once your car is “chipped”. The CTS Turbo downpipe will allow for your exhaust gases to flow smoothly, freeing up the additional ponies that you want, all while look amazing. Highlights of our downpipe include CNC machined turbine discharge (downpipe) flange, mandrel bent 3″ stainless steel tubing, modular design making installation of a catalytic converter simple and straight forward, smooth transitions allowing for optimal exhaust gas flow.

To remove the CEL that will occur, proper tuning software must be used.
Using the optional CEL eliminator greatly reduces the possibility of CEL coming on for cat efficiency code. This is not 100% effective.
We recommend disabling your Soundaktor (noise amplifier) to fully enjoy the true sound of your motor and remove excessive drone caused by the device.

Produced from lightweight titanium, the system uses complex parts meticulously crafted using the in-house titanium foundry to offer perfect acoustics. An instant deepness prevails from the moment the engine is started and as the revs rise, and so does the sensory involvement. At low rpms the exhaust emits a deep, iconic flat-six rumble, moving through a powerful mid-range, which then develops into a rich, strong, and high-frequency acoustic sensation at high revs, perfectly tuned to upshifts, providing a thrilling experience as the higher gears are selected and exhilarating, race-inspired burbles through the downshifts. This sound pattern is achieved with a carefully calculated H-link between the main pipes, which is precisely welded at a selected position. The system has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits, but there is no compromise on comfort because the tuning of the system eliminates any drone or unwanted flow noise. Power and torque increases have been recorded at +16.6 kW (22.5 hp) and +46.8 Nm at 3,400 rpm when tested in back-to-back runs on the Akrapovič dyno against a Porsche 911 Turbo (992) using the Porsche stock sports exhaust system, with the torque curve offering a perfect response from low down engine speed. The system is not EC/ECE type approved.
