This uprated intercooler has been designed for the BMW vehicles with the N55 3.0 single turbo engine and N54 twin turbo engine, we have again managed to retain a very easy installation (taking less than 45 minutes with no need to remove the bumper), but also NO cutting of any bodywork. With our testing results indicating a temperature drop of 25°C and of course the increase in power that you would expect from a much larger cooler charge, plus the ability to install this on your driveway at home, we have a truly excellent product.
After considerable trials with different intercoolers cores, we have again opted for a core of bar and plate design, and along with an overall increase in dimensions we have been able to drastically improve the cooling ability when compared to the factory intercooler. In the construction, we use CNC machined bayonet couplers which allow an easy plug and play install. The intercooler is supplied with easy to follow instructions.
Our before and after Dyno runs clearly show, not only the power increase, but the significant reduction in intake temperature.

Compatible Vehicles : | CTS Turbo is pleased to offer the ultimate high flow throttle pipe kit for the MQB model range vehicles. The OEM Charge pipping leaves something to be desired with inefficient bends, and blockages not optimized for performance. The CTS Turbo throttle pipe increases the entire diameter to 2.5″ allowing for increased flow and greater performance. The integrated water methanol bung (1/8″ NPT) allows for simple and straight forward installation of kits from Snow Performance. All of the components included in the CTS throttle pipe kit work flawlessly together to provide increased efficiency, horsepower, and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race inspired sound.

WHAT IT DOES?
The factory intercooler on the MQB-platform cars has proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air temperatures soar.
- Our massive 'plate & bar' Intercooler System is the best performing intercooler upgrade on offer for the MQB-platform Golf 7 GTI, R and Audi S3.
- By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cool-down times needed for the production intercooler.
- Our development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. This has allowed us to achieve increased size without increased lag.
- This race-proven cooler really is essential for every stage of tuning on any high performance MQB-platform car.
