Description

This is our intercooler for the Volkswagen Mk7 Golf, Mk7RTiguanAudi TT MK3 2.0 TSI and S3 8V, as well as the Skoda Kodiaq, fitted with the EA888 2.0 TSI engine. Volkswagen group changed just about everything from the Mk6 to the Mk7 chassis, so this core had to be designed from scratch in order to fit in with the redesigned radiator and condenser.

  • Gains of 16bhp
  • Temperature drops of 25-30°C
  • Reduced turbo lag, increased response
  • Greater overall surface area for greater heat dissipation
  • Utilising a race specification bar and plate construction air core
  • High flow cast end tanks ensuring optimum air transition for cooling efficiency
  • Dyno proven horsepower and torque gains
  • Provides smoother power curve
  • Dimensions: 650x420x50mm
  • Includes necessary hardware and instructions for installation

Designed for performance and reliability, the core fits in the stock location meaning cooling is radically improved over OEM. Our test Golf Mk7 GTI achieved gains of up to 16bhp more* without any other modifications whilst also demonstrating a consistent 25-30°C temperature drop* over stock on the dyno, with all runs performed on the same day with only a 2°C variation in ambient temperature over the runs (in fact it was 2°C hotter when we tested the Forge core). You can also see the temperature drop comparison of the stock and Forge cores in the graph below.

*gains will vary per car model and conditions

The stock core typically increased in temperature by 5°C on each subsequent run, with heat soak becoming a real issue after only three runs. The stock ECU was pulling timing and boost after only one run – typically anything over 40°C inlet temperature will cause the ECU to change ignition timing to suit – and the stock core peaked at 60°C on its first run, where the Forge core was able to get temperatures back under control after each run so that by the end of 4 back to back runs the core temperature had only risen by 4°C.

All of this was achieved on a stock car (it should be noted that although Volkswagen claim 220bhp for this new engine we have seen examples range from 230 to 240bhp completely stock, on the same rolling road). We are confident that the core will continue to deliver a much lower intake charge temperature than stock across all states of tune, as it’s based on our award winning Mk5/Mk6 intercooler which has been fitted with great success on everything from road and track cars, to full blown race and drag cars.

So, what other reasons do you have to purchase this intercooler? All Forge intercoolers are designed and hand fabricated in the UK to ensure perfect quality and fitment. Made in England, guaranteed for life. Combining our decades of experience in motorsport engineering and CAD flow simulation software, we have designed and tested the ultimate intercooler for your vehicle, incorporating the latest technology in bar and plate cores. The intercooler core is then complimented with our high flow end tanks. With the extra intercooler capacity, remapping your vehicle would bring further performance gains.

The core and end tanks are finished in black textured anti corrosion coating, which not only looks superb, but also gives this product added longevity in the harshest of environments. Our intercoolers are tested on the dyno against the stock cooler to measure the gains in power and reduction in temperatures. These tests are repeated until we are confident we can provide an industry leading product!

*Please note – This will not fit Audi S3 facelift 2017 onwards – Some modification to Audi S3 and TTS may be necessary*

Boost Cooler water injection can achieve a power increase of up to 10-25% in turbo and supercharged engines without thermally overloading the engine. The charge air temperature is lowered by up to 60°C, the combustion chamber is cooled and the thermal load on already tuned vehicles is effectively reduced. Water or water/alcohol (methanol or ethanol) is injected at high pressure into the hot charge air in a finely atomised form as soon as the desired starting charge pressure is reached. The evaporating liquid achieves an extremely effective charge air and intercooling, which, among other things, prevents uncontrolled combustion ("knocking"). The effect is demonstrably comparable with 116 octane racing petrol. The Boost Cooler is unsurpassed in atomisation! The liquid is swirled inside the Hyper-Sonic atomiser nozzle at supersonic speed before being forced through the Venturi orifice. With the included Dual Stage Upgrade, 2 atomiser nozzles are used to inject as early as possible with the primary nozzle and to achieve maximum cooling and performance in peak loads with the switched-on 2nd nozzle.
  • Boost pressure-dependent injection control - Optimal for all centrifugal compressors (Procharger, Vortech) and large turbochargers
  • ProLine Version: High-quality steel braided lines and connection technology
  • Higher boost pressure and/or more aggressive ignition without knocking combustion - additional power up to 25% possible.
  • Dual Stage technology for maximum efficiency in all load ranges
  • Octane booster, 116 octane racing fuel performance possible with regular gas
  • Earlier ignition timing or compression without knocking combustion. Up to 25% more power possible.
  • More power and torque with simultaneous reduction of the thermal load on engines that have already been modified, e.g. by chip tuning, NOS or LPG/autogas.
  • Effective intake air cooling, compensation of power losses at higher outside temperatures
  • Reduction of the specific fuel consumption.
  • Deposit-free combustion chamber and intake tract, without formation of oil carbon.
  • Easy installation
The CTS MK6 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit is designed as a drop in replacement for the OEM front mounted intercooler (FMIC).  That means you can install this kit without any trimming or modification of the bumper.  The OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, however once boost levels are increased by way of ECU upgrades/chipping the OEM FMIC struggles to keep the charged air temperatures in check.  Higher charged air temperatures can result in boost cut and timing pull, both reducing the amount of power your vehicle produces. The CTS direct fit FMIC uses a high efficiency bar and plate intercooler core, which aids in reducing pressure drop.  Reducing pressure drop means that your turbo will not have to work as hard to make a given level of boost.  If your turbo makes 30psi of boost pressure in the turbocharger, and your intercooler has a 10psi pressure drop then the boost measured by your ECU would be (30psi – 10psi) = 20psi.  With an efficient FMIC like the CTS direct fit FMIC your turbo does not have to work as hard to reach desired boost levels.  This is beneficial in two ways, the turbo life expectancy is increased due to more efficient operation, and boost leaving the turbocharger is cooler and more dense resulting in more power to the ground. Product Details: – Efficient bar and plate construction – Direct bolt-in installation – 4-ply silicon hoses and billet adapter to turbo outlet pipe – High quality stainless steel clamps – Low pressure drop – Maintains factory mounting points – No trimming of bumper or crash supports – Rated for power levels in excess of 600HP – Core dimensions: 23.00 Length x 2.00″ Tall x 16.5″ Height – Cast aluminium end tanks with mounting points that are CAST into the end tank, NOT welded like inferior intercoolers Fitment: 2012-2013 VW Golf R 2.0T

Racingline MQB VW Golf ‘R’/GTI 2.0 TSI OIL COOLER
FOR EA888 gen.3 & gen.4 ENGINES

The higher your power, the harder you drive, the more important it is to protect your oil with this Oil Cooler by RacingLine.
Racingline’s Oil Cooler kit is a complete ready to install package.  An essential for any hard-driven Golf Mk7 GTI or ‘R’ running high power levels, hot climates or on the track. Of course, adding power generates more heat to disperse. Significantly increased oil temperatures mean only one thing: a decrease in the ability for your engine to stay properly lubricated. The new Racingline kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air to oil cooler positioned right in the airflow in front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15-20ºc (of course this varies dependent on factors such as how the car is being driven, ambient temperatures and state of tune). Unlike many oil cooler kits, this keeps the factory Oil to Water cooler in position – effectively doubling up on your cooling. As oil passes through the new cooler first, that means less heat transfer back into your car’s water coolant circuit too.

WHY FIT AN OIL COOLER KIT?

Our Oil Cooler Kit is an essential fit for any hard-driven MQB or MQB 'Evo' 2.0 TSI car running high power levels or in hot climates. It's a complete ready to install package, using a clever sandwich plate design for straightforward and reliable installation.

Adding power to these 2.0 TSI engines generates more heat to disperse.  Significantly increased oil temperatures means only one thing: a decrease in the ability for your engine to stay properly lubricated. At the same time, it's really important not to over-cool the oil; our 10-row kit is perfect.

  • Under hard driving, the stock oil cooler is easily overwhelmed. Failures start to occur when oil cannot dissipate its collected heat fast enough and the oil begins to thin and degrade - losing its lubrication properties.
  • The RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air to oil cooler positioned right in the airflow in the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15  - 20   degrees centigrade (of course dependant on how the car is being used, ambient temps and state of tune).
  • Our kit retains the factory oil to water cooler and adds to it with the front-mounted cooler - doubling up your cooling capability with less heat transfer into the water system.
  • As the oil moves away from the heat inside the engine, its temperature drops significantly as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the 10-row cooler’s large surface area mounted right in the cool airflow.
  • Supplied as a complete kit with every part ready for install.
What’s in the kit?  – Oil Cooler mounting brackets – AN10 ‘210 Series’ Nylon braided feed and return lines – Billet CNC oil cooler sandwich plate – AN10 ’10-Row’ Oil Cooler Core – Billet oil filter housing with removable drop in filter – Fitting kit consisting of all necessary nuts, bolts, washers and rubber mountings

CTS Turbo is pleased to offer the ultimate high flow throttle pipe kit for the MQB model range vehicles.  The OEM Charge pipping leaves something to be desired with inefficient bends, and blockages not optimized for performance.  The CTS Turbo throttle pipe increases the entire diameter to 2.5″ allowing for increased flow and greater performance.  The integrated water methanol bung (1/8″ NPT) allows for simple and straight forward installation of kits from Snow Performance.  All of the components included in the CTS throttle pipe kit work flawlessly together to provide increased efficiency, horsepower, and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race inspired sound. Product Details:
  • Mandrel bent aluminum piping with durable black powder coating
  • CNC machined MAP flange
  • 4 Ply silicon connectors with stainless steel clamps
  • Integrated water methanol bung with plug
  • Stainless steel clamps
  • Compatible with factory and aftermarket intercoolers
Racingline VWR Oil Cooler Replacement Filter - VWR180001
  • 5 times the flow of comparable paper oil filters
  • Consistent filtering across the entire filter surface
  • Magnetic prefiltering to remove microscopic ferrous materials before they reach the filter itself
The filter itself is available separately from all RacingLine dealers for servicing. Whilst this filter has a much longer service life than the factory paper elements do, we recommend as best-practice to change filter with every oil change.
