As part of AIRTEC Motorsport’s expanding BMW product range, these wheel arch liner clearance grilles were developed specifically for the BMW G8x M platform to solve a common issue found on modified vehicles. The original BMW arch liners include a vented section that allows air to escape from the front bumper, but this area has very limited clearance to the tyre during steering. When the vehicle is modified with lowered suspension, larger tyres or wheel spacers, the tyre can contact the plastic vent, causing damage and potentially breaking fins that may also damage the tyre.

AIRTEC’s solution is a simple yet effective replacement grille that installs into the arch liner to provide additional clearance while still allowing air to exit the bumper. Tested on a lowered vehicle with larger tyres, the design ensures debris cannot pass through while maintaining proper airflow.

Manufactured from 2mm aluminium and finished in a durable black powder coat, the grille features AIRTEC’s hexagonal laser-cut design. Each grille mounts securely to the arch liner using seven fixings per side, and the complete kit includes all fixtures, fittings and detailed installation instructions. Please note that drilling and removal of the original vents is required for installation.
