Developed at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’re proud to launch our uprated front mount intercooler kit aimed at EA888 Gen 4 platform owners who want the very highest level of cooling efficiency, power and performance for track or fast road use.
Available in a high-quality powder coated black finish, the comprehensive kit is a direct replacement and comes with new Pro Hoses silicone boost pipes. It also comes complete with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed fitting instructions.
The Design
Leading on from the huge success of our EA888 Gen 3 platform intercooler kit that has proven itself the go-to option on numerous big power builds for the last 7 years, when it came to developing our kit for the EA888 Gen 4 platform we knew exactly which way to go. With very similar size restrictions to its predecessor, we utilised our huge 16.4-litre capacity core from the EA888 Gen 3 platform and integrated it to better accommodate the air-con radiator.
This allowed an impressive 80% increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as an increase in frontal area to make the most of the air flow provided. Together with our cast end tanks to ensure optimum air flow both in and out of the intercooler, the moulded one-piece designs ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently.
Available in a high-quality powder coated black finish, the comprehensive kit is a direct replacement and comes with new Pro Hoses silicone boost pipes. It also comes complete with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed fitting instructions.
Its proven cooling efficiency increase makes it an essential modification for all modified EA888 Gen 4 platform models.

Our intercoolers are designed to be the best performing, direct bolt on intercoolers available for your BMW with special attention to quality and performance while maintaining a reasonable price. Each VRSF intercooler includes our proprietary High Density fin pack which results in higher HP gains compared to the other guys, mainly due to our incredibly dense internal and external fin pack. Our core was engineered to offer a greater overall surface area for increased heat absorption as well as dissipation.VRSF HD Intercooler CoreThe most important component of any intercooler is the core. The core cools the charged air from the turbo before it enters the engine and the OEM BMW tube and fin intercooler is designed to support low boost levels and air flow. When tuned, airflow and boost levels are increased significantly. This causes the OEM intercooler to heat soak and reduces HP and increases the chance of pre-detonation. We remedy this problem with our proprietary, high density bar and plate intercooler core which utilizes a staggered and offset internal and external fin pack. The VRSF HD core has been carefully balanced to provide the the best intake temperature reduction while maintaining minimal pressure drop. The VRSF HD core is also much more durable than the OEM tube and fin core, with a better ability to withstand rocks and other debris. The VRSF 5″ Performance HD & 6.5″ Competition HD Intercoolers are comprised of an incredibly dense fin pack both internally and externally. It’s not uncommon to see intake temperatures drop at the end of a 3rd gear pull due to the larger overall internal and external surface area. You can expect to see an intake temperature reduction on a stock turbo, full bolt on car during a 3rd gear pull which is why the VRSF HD is THE best option for your N55. Please note that the HD fin pack is now standard at no extra charge! The VRSF 5″ Performance HD is capable of supporting up to 600whp whereas the 6.5″ Competition HD is capable of supporting up to 800whp.Installation & ConstructionWe include everything required to replace the OEM intercooler. All VRSF intercoolers feature tabs that allow the retention of the factory fan shroud and our CFD optimized cast end tanks are designed to work with both the OEM intercooler piping as well as any aftermarket charge pipe that adapts to the OEM FMIC. Racingline Performance DSG Oil Cooler System for MQB DQ250 (6 Speed Only) - VWR29G7250
Under hard driving, the factory DSG oil/water cooler is easily overwhelmed. Problems start to occur when oil cannot dissipate its collected heat fast enough and the oil begins to thin and degrade – losing its lubrication properties.
- When this happens, the DSG will protect itself and begin to lower the torque, increase shift times and in extreme circumstances even loose gear selection.
- The RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air/oil cooler positioned right in the airflow at the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15 – 20 degrees centigrade (of course dependant on how the car is being used, ambient temps and state of tune).
- The kit uses a clever design which retains the factory oil/water cooling and adds to it with the thermostatically-controlled front-mounted cooler – doubling up your cooling capability when it’s needed with less heat transfer into the water system.
- Only when the oil exceeds normal temperatures, the thermostat opens. Oil temperature then drops significantly as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the 10-row cooler’s large surface area mounted right in the cool airflow.

Our unique DSG Oil Cooler Kit is an essential fit for any hard-driven MQB 2.0 TSI car running high power levels or in hot climates. It’s a complete ready to install package, using a clever sandwich plate design for straightforward and completely reliable installation.
