Description

Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, this Twin Intakes induction kit for the BMW G8x series comprehensively upgrades the original air intake system to allow better airflow while still maintaining low intake temperatures, resulting in improved engine response, stronger induction sound, and a cleaner, more attractive engine bay appearance.

The design uses the original BMW air box bases but replaces the tops with enlarged laser-cut two-piece lids that allow the fitment of large cotton air filters for greater airflow and performance. The original front intake feed is retained to ensure a constant flow of fresh, cool air is delivered to the filters.

The right intake pipe retains original fittings but increases to an 80 mm uninterrupted diameter to minimise restriction all the way to the turbo. CNC-machined connectors allow the use of original O-rings and clips, and the use of the original air box mounts helps reduce vibration.

This direct-fit kit requires no additional drilling or cutting and includes all fixtures, fittings and detailed installation instructions.
