Description
We are proud to release our first new product for the MK2 TTRS/8P RS3 2.5T.
CTS TTRS/RS3 4″ High Flow Downpipe features a CNC machined 4″ T304 stainless steel V-band flange and turbo outlet.
Our 4″ mandrel-bent stainless steel design is free of obstructions and uses a premium core interlock style flex section. For optimal clearance between downpipe and driveshaft, our design splits from a 4″design to a dual 2.5″ design where two more stainless steel flanges mate seamlessly to your secondary catalysts or high flow mid-pipes.
Each downpipe is hand-built to order at our facility, and test fitted in our hand made jigs to ensure exact fitment each and every time. In addition to the quality craftsmanship and great sound.
To remove the Check Engine Light that will occur, proper tuning software must be used. This downpipe works with ANY brand stage 2 software.

Stage 2 software is required to avoid check engine light.

Our continued development of the MK7/7.5 platform is not limited to FMIC kits or Turbo kits, our all-new 3″ cat-back exhaust system is evidence of that. The CTS Turbo MK7/7.5 Golf R 3″ cat-back exhaust system is hand tig welded using the finest T304 stainless steel. Our exhaust system was designed for both street use and big turbo abuse. Other MK7/7.5 Golf R exhausts that are currently available can choke peak power and limit the breathing due to their 2.5″ construction. The 3″ design of the CTS Turbo MK7/7.5 Golf R cat-back is ideal those of us chasing serious horsepower.

| All of the knowledge and experience gained while working with various engines from the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart was poured into this outstanding aftermarket exhaust system. Produced from lightweight titanium, the system uses complex parts meticulously crafted using the in-house titanium foundry to offer perfect acoustics. An instant deepness prevails from the moment the engine is started and as the revs rise, and so does the sensory involvement. At low rpms the exhaust emits a deep, iconic flat-six rumble, moving through a powerful mid-range, which then develops into a rich, strong, and high-frequency acoustic sensation at high revs, perfectly tuned to upshifts, providing a thrilling experience as the higher gears are selected and exhilarating, race-inspired burbles through the downshifts. This sound pattern is achieved with a carefully calculated H-link between the main pipes, which is precisely welded at a selected position. The system has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits, but there is no compromise on comfort because the tuning of the system eliminates any drone or unwanted flow noise. Power and torque increases have been recorded at +16.6 kW (22.5 hp) and +46.8 Nm at 3,400 rpm when tested in back-to-back runs on the Akrapovič dyno against a Porsche 911 Turbo (992) using the Porsche stock sports exhaust system, with the torque curve offering a perfect response from low down engine speed. The system is not EC/ECE type approved.

It comes complete with a soundtrack that perfectly matches the car’s performance, ideally tuned to produce a unique sound colour and the celebrated Akrapovič signature sound. UNPARALLELED R&D From the R&D department with sound engineering—and through the laboratories that manage and measure the materials and into the in-house titanium foundry and then to production, before evaluation and completion—the manufacture of an Akrapovič exhaust is an internal journey with many facets that are all completed at the company’s state-of-the-art facilities. ONLY HIGH-TECH MATERIALS Using only the highest standard of materials in the production of every Akrapovič exhaust, our materials are thoroughly inspected upon arrival and assessed in the metallurgical laboratory. Though more than 30 years of experience working with titanium, stainless steel, carbon fibre, aluminium alloys, and more recently ceramics matrix composites, Akrapovič sources only the best materials to produce its high-quality exhaust systems. |
