In addition to the Forge Motorsport PolarCooler range, and following an extensive R&D process, Forge Motorsport has developed a unique and innovative stepped core design central chargecooler radiator for the Mercedes A45 AMG (2.0L M133 engine).

The Chargecooler features an all-aluminium construction which overcomes all the issues relating to plastic end tank splitting, failure at high boost and leaks between the core and end tanks with end tank seal failure. The end tanks are fabricated using high precision laser cut sheet metal panels which are TIG welded by hand for maximum strength and durability.

Consistency of performance

  • This increased internal fluid capacity along with the high-density external fin design will ensure that your inlet temperatures remain at a stable level and allow the engine to operate at full power for longer.
  • Offering a 52% increase in fluid volume over the standard chargecooler radiator.
  • More noticeable in hot climates, track days or fast road driving, when inlet temperatures rise above a pre-set point the ECU will look to protect the engine and reduce its power output.  Not ideal if your application demands maximum power.

Refined design

This part has been carefully designed and developed using the latest Solidworks 3D CAD software.  The innovative stepped radiator core has been developed and manufactured in the UK. Each endtank is fabricated from 2mm thick laser cut 5052 Aluminium, with CNC machined mounting blocks ensuring that the OEM retaining clips are a quality fit.

After each chargecooler radiator has completed the fabrication stage it is then pressure tested to 4BAR , before receiving a high-quality durable fine-texture black powder coated finish.

This chargecooler radiator is a direct replacement for the OEM part and requires no extra trimming or further modifications to fit.

The filter itself is available separately from all RacingLine dealers for servicing. Whilst this filter has a much longer service life than the factory paper elements do, we recommend as best-practice to change filter with every oil change.

The CTS MK6 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit is designed as a drop in replacement for the OEM front mounted intercooler (FMIC).  That means you can install this kit without any trimming or modification of the bumper.  The OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, however once boost levels are increased by way of ECU upgrades/chipping the OEM FMIC struggles to keep the charged air temperatures in check.  Higher charged air temperatures can result in boost cut and timing pull, both reducing the amount of power your vehicle produces. The CTS direct fit FMIC uses a high efficiency bar and plate intercooler core, which aids in reducing pressure drop.  Reducing pressure drop means that your turbo will not have to work as hard to make a given level of boost.  If your turbo makes 30psi of boost pressure in the turbocharger, and your intercooler has a 10psi pressure drop then the boost measured by your ECU would be (30psi – 10psi) = 20psi.  With an efficient FMIC like the CTS direct fit FMIC your turbo does not have to work as hard to reach desired boost levels.  This is beneficial in two ways, the turbo life expectancy is increased due to more efficient operation, and boost leaving the turbocharger is cooler and more dense resulting in more power to the ground. Racingline Performance DSG Oil Cooler System for MQB DQ250 (6 Speed Only) - VWR29G7250

Under hard driving, the factory DSG oil/water cooler is easily overwhelmed. Problems start to occur when oil cannot dissipate its collected heat fast enough and the oil begins to thin and degrade – losing its lubrication properties.

  • When this happens, the DSG will protect itself and begin to lower the torque, increase shift times and in extreme circumstances even loose gear selection.
  • The RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air/oil cooler positioned right in the airflow at the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15  – 20   degrees centigrade (of course dependant on how the car is being used, ambient temps and state of tune).
  • The kit uses a clever design which retains the factory oil/water cooling and adds to it with the thermostatically-controlled front-mounted cooler – doubling up your cooling capability when it’s needed with less heat transfer into the water system.
  • Only when the oil exceeds normal temperatures, the thermostat opens. Oil temperature then drops significantly as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the 10-row cooler’s large surface area mounted right in the cool airflow.

Our unique DSG Oil Cooler Kit is an essential fit for any hard-driven MQB 2.0 TSI car running high power levels or in hot climates. It’s a complete ready to install package, using a clever sandwich plate design for straightforward and completely reliable installation.
