CTS Turbo has been dedicated to manufacturing performance parts for enthusiasts by enthusiasts since its inception. Our continued development of the B8 platform is not limitted to FMIC kits or Turbo kits, our all new catback exhaust system is evidence of that. The CTS Turbo B8 S4 catback exhaust system is hand tig welded using the finest T304 stainless steel.
Each CTS B8 S4 catback is 100% tig welded, constructed using T304 Seamless Stainless Steel, and includes installation hardware and stainless steel clamps. Lesser products can be had without stainless steel construction, or with seamed stainless steel, which can crack and decay over time. The CTS Turbo B8 S4 catback increases throttle response, and peak power.

NOTE: Starting in 2012, Audi started to use a SoundAktor system.
1) A speaker by the base of the windshield. This speaker is activated in Dynamic mode. This speaker produces a fake intake sound.
2) Sounds from the stereo system. These sounds are to produce a sporty exhaust note and are on all the time, regardless of selected MMI mode.
To disable the SoundAktor, you must remove fuse number 5 on block A of the driver-side fuse box. This will disable the system without causing a check engine light or any faults.
This fuse is labeled “Sound actuator/exhaust sound tuning” on the owner’s manual. CONSULT YOUR MANUAL FOR FUSE LOCATION.
When installing our performance exhaust system on cars equipped with SoundAktor, we highly recommend removing this fuse or disabling the SoundAktor via VAGCOM.

| All of the knowledge and experience gained while working with various engines from the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart was poured into this outstanding aftermarket exhaust system. Produced from lightweight titanium, the system uses complex parts meticulously crafted using the in-house titanium foundry to offer perfect acoustics. An instant deepness prevails from the moment the engine is started and as the revs rise, and so does the sensory involvement. At low rpms the exhaust emits a deep, iconic flat-six rumble, moving through a powerful mid-range, which then develops into a rich, strong, and high-frequency acoustic sensation at high revs, perfectly tuned to upshifts, providing a thrilling experience as the higher gears are selected and exhilarating, race-inspired burbles through the downshifts. This sound pattern is achieved with a carefully calculated H-link between the main pipes, which is precisely welded at a selected position. The system has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits, but there is no compromise on comfort because the tuning of the system eliminates any drone or unwanted flow noise. Power and torque increases have been recorded at +16.6 kW (22.5 hp) and +46.8 Nm at 3,400 rpm when tested in back-to-back runs on the Akrapovič dyno against a Porsche 911 Turbo (992) using the Porsche stock sports exhaust system, with the torque curve offering a perfect response from low down engine speed. The system is not EC/ECE type approved.
AKRAPOVIČ SLIP-ON LINE
With two flawlessly styled and finished handmade carbon-fibre tailpipes, which beautifully complement the titanium pipes, this exhaust is a work of art. It comes complete with a soundtrack that perfectly matches the car’s performance, ideally tuned to produce a unique sound colour and the celebrated Akrapovič signature sound. UNPARALLELED R&D From the R&D department with sound engineering—and through the laboratories that manage and measure the materials and into the in-house titanium foundry and then to production, before evaluation and completion—the manufacture of an Akrapovič exhaust is an internal journey with many facets that are all completed at the company’s state-of-the-art facilities. ONLY HIGH-TECH MATERIALS Using only the highest standard of materials in the production of every Akrapovič exhaust, our materials are thoroughly inspected upon arrival and assessed in the metallurgical laboratory. Though more than 30 years of experience working with titanium, stainless steel, carbon fibre, aluminium alloys, and more recently ceramics matrix composites, Akrapovič sources only the best materials to produce its high-quality exhaust systems. | Manufactured using high-grade lightweight titanium, the Evolution Line exhaust system features a specially designed layout with one central and two side mufflers and a collector made from titanium, all leading from stainless steel link pipes with a larger diameter compared to stock and custom-made flex tubes, fully insulated where they attach to the downpipes. A valve on each side muffler controls the flow of gases and aids the fantastic sound produced by the system. Each valve has a housing cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry, as does the complex active X-connection, which also features a valve for controlling the exhaust pulses from both sides of the engine. The system is finished with unique carbon fibre/titanium tailpipes – one on each side – with an eye-catching design that has never been used before, with the handmade dynamically shaped carbon fibre outer sleeve perfectly aligned with the sandblasted and coated titanium inner, all giving a powerful and sporty conclusion to this stunning exhaust system. Designed to supply a soundtrack that has been acoustically tuned to perfection at every rev point to give an aural delight from the low-down rumble, through a strong mid-range and onto a high frequency top end with distinctive feel of Akrapovič’s racing heritage, all added to the increased excitement where every downshift is accompanied a sharp rumble. The system has been tuned to provide the occupants the comfort of driving like an everyday commuter with no unwanted drone or excessive noise. Akrapovič has conducted tests on its in-house dyno with the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system, using an Audi RS 6 Avant (C8) with the stock Audi Sport exhaust system for comparison, and a power gain of 15.7 hp (m) at 6150 rpm and a torque increase of 17.9 Nm at 6150 rpm were achieved under controlled conditions and with a weight saving of over 20% against the stock system. This is an ECE compliant system that is a serious performer in all areas. Further changes can be made with the addition of the optional Downpipe / Link pipe set (SS), increased exhaust tuning, and the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit to control the valves in the exhaust and give greater flexibility in the sound the exhaust produces. To give the Evolution Line (Titanium) an even greater visual impact, a handmade carbon fibre diffuser in matte or glossy is available as an option to provide that special finish. The Link pipe set (SS) L-AU/SS/6 is a mandatory product to the Evolution Line (Titanium) S-AU/TI/15H. The system is split into two codes because of packaging requirements. If the Evolution Line exhaust system is combined with the Downpipe / Link pipe set (SS), the link pipe set L-AU/SS/6 is not needed. In this case, the ECE type approval is not valid anymore, and remapping the ECU is mandatory when it is fitted. With the installation of Akrapovič Sound Kit, ECE type approval for the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system is not valid. ECE type approval is only valid for cars equipped with otto/gasoline particulate filter. Most Euro-spec ROW 2.5T cars come standard with catless midpipes, this is why we decided to create a perfect-fit affordable option to North America!
These pipes replace the restrictive secondary catalytic converters allowing the 2.5T engine to breathe easier. While not offering major performance gains, the exhaust note will be drastically improved. Installation takes less than 1 hour, and we include all required hardware, gaskets and even a set of brand new clamps.
Get your exhaust sounding like it should, with more noticeable pops-and-bangs in Sport mode (comfort mode is not affected).
